The 53rd edition of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile (in Rho, from 8 to 13 April), with the biennial EuroCucina (featuring the collateral event FTK Technology For the Kitchen) and Salone Internazionale del Bagno, as well as the SaloneSatellite, will bring Milan all the new developments in furnishings, with about 2400 exhibitors (including new companies from the world of furnishings, like Hästens, Kvadrat, Iittala, Tom Dixon, and from the fashion sector, like Ferré, Pierre Cardin, Ungaro; and the return of important brands like Flötotto, Gebr. Thonet, SCP, Thonet, Treca, Wittmann). The pavilions at Fiera Milano will come alive with the prestigious collateral event “Where Architects Live” curated by Francesca Molteni and Davide Pizzigoni. Shigeru Ban, Mario Bellini, David Chipperfield, Massimiliano & Doriana Fuksas, Zaha Hadid, Marcio Kogan, Daniel Libeskind and Bijoy Jain/Studio Mumbai, eight names of international architecture, will open the doors of their “private dwellings,” narrated at pavilion 9. There is a double appointment for the general public, visiting the fair on Saturday and Sunday.
