In the Sala delle Cariatidi of Palazzo Reale, a major exhibition on Auguste Rodin (Paris 1840 – Meudon 1917), who together with Michelangelo is one of the great revolutionaries of the modern tradition of sculpture. Organized and produced by the City of MilanDepartment of Culture, Palazzo Reale, Musée Rodin of Paris, Civita and Electa, in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural Assets and Activities and Tourism, the show is curated by Aline Magnien, chief conservator of the collection of the Musée Rodin in Paris, in collaboration with Flavio Arensi. The exhibition features over 60 works with a large number of marble sculptures, making it the most complete overview ever shown of the marbles of Auguste Rodin, also thanks to loans from important public institutions like the Petit Palais-Musée des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris, the Musée Faure of Aix-les-Bains, Musée de Picardie of Amiens, as well as the Parisian institution that conserves the memory and work of the great artist.
