Great photography returns to Versilia starting on 12 February, with the 14th edition of Seravezza Fotografia, an international event organized by Fondazione Terre Medicee and the Municipality of Seravezza.

Three months of exhibitions, seminars and encounters with artists, in one of the most evocative but little known settings of this corner of Tuscany: Palazzo Mediceo of Seravezza (Lu), a specimen of 16th-century architecture included in the UNESCO heritage listings.

The themes of this latest edition, curated by the artistic director Ivo Balderi, include: the photographic voyage of Giorgia Fiorio entitled “The Gift,” seeking the origins of faith on five continents; the love of the South African photographer Ken Gerhardt for black and white film; the daring socio-political reporting of Lucio Trizzino; the aesthetic research of Stefano Viti on the relationships between man and nature.

Plus: the frontiers of new satellite photography; and a spotlight on Erika Zolli and Francesca Marrai, promising talents on the contemporary photography scene in Italy.
