The Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair is the Swedish event on furniture design and lighting, held at the Stockholmsmässan. It is the largest Scandinavian show of furnishings and lighting equipment.

In an area of 70,000 m2700 exhibitors from 32 countries display the latest developments in decor and lighting. National and international visitors – over 40,000 are expected, from over 60 countries – find a complete selection of furniture, complements, office furnishings, fabrics and lamps, for both private homes and public spaces.

The leitmotif is sustainability, a theme approached and discussed in terms of design products, their life cycle, sustainable materials and production methods. Besides the Stockholm Design & Architecture Talks, initiatives include Greenhouse and Welcome to Woodland.

Scheduled exhibitions include Trend 2017/18 curated by Lotta Agaton on the theme of contrast of materials and decorating styles. As happens each year, a jury has selected young designers to show their creations, indicating 31 designers or design teams, as well as 31 design schools from 18 countries.

The guest of honor for 2017 is the Spanish designer and artist Jaime Hayon, who will make a special installation.

The fair is held parallel to Stockholm Design Week from 6 to 12 February 2017.
