At Fondazione Pastificio Cerere (via degli Ausoni 7), the first Italian show by the French duo Berger&Bergerincludes a series of works never shown before, made especially for this occasion. An integral part of the show is in the courtyard, namely Mystères, the manifesto that Laurent P. Berger, artist, and Cyrille Berger, architect, have created for Postcard from…. Both the appointments are curated by Marcello Smarrelli, artistic director of the Foundation. Berger&Berger see architecture and the spaces they create as open devices, subject to interpretation, that do not respond to pre-set functions but tend to make different usage possibilities emerge. Constructed space becomes freer, eluding functional, rigid definitions, ready to produce new scenarios. The works of architecture thus conceived operate on both reality and aspects of pure representation. www.pastificiocerere.it.
