During the upcoming London Design Festival, the Victoria & Albert Museum of London hosts Transmission, a spectacular installation in Alcantara created by Ross Lovegrove.

The three-dimensional work, 25 meters long, will be shown in the tapestry gallery of the V&A for the duration of the festival.

The installation Transmission reflects the noble, aristocratic character of the scenes depicted in 15th-century tapestries, seeming almost to complete them with patterns of gold and silver.

The precious details create an ornamental pattern composed of over two million dots that run along the edges of the sculpture, creating a strong contrast with the rest of the installation, based on faithfully replicated colors from the original tapestries.
