Bruges, 5 May – 16 September 2018

In a game of contrasts between avant-garde art and medieval vistas, Bruges, in Flanders, hosts the Triennale of Contemporary Art and Architecture.

In the historical center of the city, Triennale Brugge 2018 presents impressive constructions by contemporary artists and architects.

Fifteen installations by internationally acclaimed artists and architects, offering possible responses to the moments of crisis of the liquid society theorized by the sociologist and philosopher Zygmunt Bauman.

How flexible, liquid and resilient can a historic city like Bruges be in an era in which there seem to no longer be any certainties?

The Liquid City  theme is driven precisely by this Flemish city, literally surrounded and crossed by the sea and canals.
