Adriana Spazzoli, the marketing and communication director of Mapei, has been elected President of Fondazione Sodalitas, the Italian organization of reference for sustainability and social responsibility in business.
Unanimously elected by the board in a meeting yesterday at Assolombarda in Milan, Spazzoli takes over from Diana Bracco at the end of the latter’s term of office.
Operating in 53 countries with 70 production plants, Gruppo Mapei – an Italian family firm founded in 1937, a world leader in the sector of chemicals for construction, guided by the former President of Confindustria Giorgio Squinzi, Spazzoli and their two children – generates an annual turnover of about 2.3 billion euros and employs 9000 persons, investing 5% of sales in innovation and research, with a particular focus on the development of ecosustainable products.
