The Nira Montana hotel is the first 5-star facility in La Thuile, the small town of Valle D’Aosta at the foot of Mt. Blanc. The architect Simone Del Portico with his team has done the interior design of the hotel, where instead of the traditional focus on wood he has deployed paintings, wallpaper, iron and Cor-ten in a complex but balanced combination of different materials. White plaster alternates with warm chocolate tones; the wallpaper with a forest motif often takes the place of wood paneling; the irregular boards of the oak floors in the rooms are paced by white baseboards; the rugged recycled wood of the furnishings is finished with iron borders, generating clear juxtapositions of apparently opposing elements.
For the terraces, Aria by Nardi has been selected in shades of anthracite gray: a large outdoor chair with fabric cushions, made in fiberglass resin with a plank structure, and equipped with a small table.
