Art Sweet Art is an idea, a project based on the notion that art is a shared asset to be placed above all in domestic spaces, inside an intimate, familiar context.
12 artists, 5 homes, one national map of places and relations. Arezzo, Perugia, Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, Rome. Launched in 2016, the project has already successfully completed five residences, producing five artworks kept in the homes of the families who have hosted the artists, deciding to take part in a new kind of collecting.
The mechanism is simple: the collector chooses the artist at the platform www.artsweetart.net, and after getting acquainted invites him or her to spend a period of time in his home, the place where the work of art will take form. The finished work is unveiled at an event open to the public, and remains in the home, available for viewing by appointment.
Art Sweet Art is one of the five winners (out of 522 projects) of the competition Culturability promoted by Fondazione Unipolis to focus on innovative cultural initiatives.
