To celebrate its 60th anniversary at the headquarters of the Sanlorenzo Superyacht division in La Spezia the yacht maker presented its economic results and future investments in facilities, research and development, while offering the first preview of the new SL102 and SX72 yachts, slated for an official launch at the Cannes Yachting Festival (11-18 September 2018).
A reference point for excellence in the nautical world since 1958, Sanlorenzo – under the guidance since 2005 of Massimo Perotti, Chairman and CEO – has gone through a period of exceptional growth, boosting sales from 40 million euros in 2005 to 300 million in 2017, while conserving its approach of total customization.
In 60 years Sanlorenzo has built over 750 yachts, each different from the next to adapt to the specific requirements of clients.
The volume reported by the Sanlorenzo Superyacht division was particularly remarkable, thanks to the creation of superyachts in metal from 40 to 80 meters: 21 superyachts have been constructed to date, and 15 are presently being made.
The positive trend has prompted the company to invest 60 million euros over the next two years.
One of the world’s leading shipyards for the production of yachts and superyachts, Sanlorenzo also presented the world preview of a daring project: the SL102, an asymmetrical yacht.
Given the firm’s outstanding ability to redesign the internal spaces of a boat, this model has been created to obtain greater ease of use and comfort in interiors, with improved indoor-outdoor communication.
Furthermore, Sanlorenzo unveiled the smaller entry in this range: the new SX72 crossover.
The model stands out for an innovative approach to space on board, interpreted by the studio Zuccon International Project for the external lines, and Piero Lissoni – also the art director of the company – for the interiors.
