A three-story villa in the Can Furnet area of Ibiza, designed by the architect Laurence Sonck
The color white dominates in this villa designed by the architect Laurence Sonck, a glowing white that receives and reflects light from dawn to dusk. The luminous effect is amplified by large windows that welcome the sunlight and allow the landscape outside to enter the house.
The terraces offer space for everyday outdoor activities, where the sensation of contact with nature is accentuated by the presence of teak decks, a feature that repeats on the facade walls. The natural materials also include stone for the cladding of certain exterior portions.
The infinity pool on the ground level, faced by the living area, fits perfectly into this context. Water, glass, light, pale tones, transparency: the key factor is indoor-outdoor communication, also in the choice of the portico that provides shelter in all weather conditions.
Protection is supplied by Synua, a vertical pivot door by Oikos Venezia that reaches up to 220 cm in width and 300 in height, in Class 3 for burglary resistance, with thermal seal up to 1.4-1 by request, acoustic insulation of 38 dB, air-water-wind proofing with the Mose kit, respectively 4, 5A and C5, and fire resistance (by request) of EI 60 / EI 120 / UL-FD 120.
At the villa in Can Furnet a dual facing has been specified. The armored door is clad on the outside in shiny white glass with 9 sectors, of which one is in steel with a horizontal handle, and on the inside with mirrors, again in 9 sectors with one in steel.
