Fabio Novembre designs the new stores of the Briscola-Pizza Society restaurant chain in Italy and Europe. Starting with Milan

Fabio Novembre has been chosen by Foodation, a holding company operating in the sector of multibrand food retailing, to develop the new stores of the Briscola-Pizza Society restaurant chain in Italy and Europe.

The design of the new locations, at the Duomo and Porta Nuova, will be followed by the restyling of those already in operation, and in 2019 the project will continue to grow with other outlets to be opened in London and Milan.

Studio Novembre, playing with forms and tones of black, white and bordeaux, has created an underground atmosphere, just the opposite of the mass culture of pizza, raising the qualitative level of the venues, with a focus on the cultural identity of the space, not just the product.

One of the main objectives was to develop a concept with a perfectly recognizable and replicable style on an international scale, inspired by the imagery of clubs, in line with the brand’s motto In pizza we trust.

These exclusive pizza clubs will feature a pattern on the floor in tones of gray, similar to the backs of traditional playing cards (Briscola is a card game), while the walls feature figures like those of cards, from floor to ceiling, backlit with red LEDs.

The materials and furnishings have been selected from leading design brands like Kartell, Flos, Lea Ceramiche and Hi-Macs, just to name a few.
