Lumentile is the first ceramic tile that becomes a multifunctional electronic device

The idea of the first luminous tile comes from an intuition by a lab technician, but it was not until 2014 that a group of Italian researchers and professionals with expertise in industrial components, joined by Finnish and Spanish experts, began to develop a true project, which gained the support of the European Commission through the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Program.

Lumentile, a system of tiles capable of lighting up, communicating with each other, sensing the passage of persons and measuring their weight, was presented for the first time at Inhabits during the FuoriSalone 2018 in Milan.
