The refurbishing of an industrial building from the early 1950s in Busto Arsizio, to create a private residence

With a total area of over 600 m2, an industrial building from the early 1950s in the center of Busto Arsizio (Varese) has been completely renovated and transformed as a private residence.

The project by the studio Buratti+Battiston Architects combines the classic idea of the loft – open spaces in contact with the outside – with that of the traditional house, focusing on the layout of the various functional zones.

Every space has its own character, provided by the use of one element, a material, a color, an effect: from the ebony of the cabinet at the entrance to the red glass of the screen of the staircase, all the way to the bathrooms: black slate for the guest bathroom, red tiles for the master bath, bright colors like yellow and green for the children’s bathroom.

All the bathrooms feature the Diametro 35 faucet series by Ritmonio in the chrome finish, adding forceful personality to the spaces
