Design Warm Contest is the name of the first edition of the competition organized by Scirocco H, an Italian company specializing in the creation of decor radiators, to find new, talented designers to invent innovative radiators and towel warmers.
The initiative of the Gattico-based company, with the support of ADI Associazione per il Disegno Industriale, is open to all Italian and foreign students in schools of architecture and engineering, as well as superior schools of graphics and design, and to architects born after January 1, 1977.
The candidates – individual or in groups, divided into the categories students and architects – must present, starting on 1 September until 30 November 2017, a project for the design of a domestic radiator that combines innovative technical and aesthetic features.
The winner in each of the two categories, chosen by a jury of the company’s management and design experts, will receive a prize of 2000 euros (for the students) and 5000 euros for the architects, for a project considered valid to be put into production.
The winners will be announced in January 2018 in Milan.
