Independence and integration are the basic architectural principles behind the Centro Diurno Terapeutico Alzheimer Domenico Sartor of Castelfranco Veneto, designed by Davanzo Architetti

The Centro Diurno Terapeutico Alzheimer (Day Clinic for Alzheimer’s Disease) of Castelfranco Veneto (TV) is a healthcare facility that establishes architectural and functional relations with the existing urban context.

The balance of fundamental factors in the building designed by Martina Davanzo of Davanzo Architetti contributes to the positive therapeutic effects for 30 patients.

The project also enhances a part of the city very close to the historical center, reordering its spaces and defining new settings by moving an existing parking area.

The design of the spaces focuses on a domestic dimension, while the organization on a single level with a single color facilitates orientation. Instead of corridors, there are wider zones and lounge areas that break up monotonous sequences, making the spaces easy to recognize thanks to different factors of light, color and form.
