By replacing old window frames with thermal break solutions that conserve the architectural image, Schüco Italia has updated the facades of the Parini school in Gorla Minore (Va), as an example of energy updating.
Designed by the architect, painter and sculptor Enrico Castiglioni, the Plesso a Vetri is a rare and interesting specimen of modern school design, which began functioning in 1963 and is now protected as heritage due to its unique architectural concept.
While conserving the original image, new requirements have been met by the Schüco AWS 75 WF.SI aluminium window frames with vanishing panels (installed on the east, south and west facades), and by the Schüco ADS 75 aluminium door frame system and the Schüco FW 50+ S (Steel Design) system of posts and crossbars, at the position of the entrance lobby.
