The Eurasia Tunnel is very innovative, with advanced technical lighting. It has a length of almost 15 km, of which 5.4 km are under water, reaching a maximum depth of 106 meters below sea level.

Thanks to this feat of engineering, the Eurasia Tunnel will reduce traffic, pollution and noise in the city of Istanbul.

iGuzzini Illuminazione, an international reference point in the field of architectural lighting, has provided the lighting for this new symbol of mobility between two continents.

The Croatian studio Skira Architectural Lighting Design did the lighting design, featuring a particular pattern of lines of light. The choice of the color blue links back to the Turkish tradition.

In collaboration with the specialized distributor Kitoko, the project by iGuzzini, for an overall budget of three million euros, involved supply and installation of over 2000 lighting fixtures from the Trick series – designed by Dean Skira – customized to generate the effects envisioned by the lighting designer: lines of LED light, with an intensity of 5000k and a blue color, projected onto a carpet of blue light produced by RGB LED tubes.
