Extensive technological research, a poetic approach, rigorous aesthetics and attention to detail are the basic ingredients of From Lighting, a new independent brand with a focus on light, designed in Germany and produced in Italy.
From Lighting is the result of the Italian-German partnership of two industrial designers, Cesare Bizzotto and Tobias Nitsche, who after studying in the masters program in Product Design at ECAL in Lausanne and founding a design practice, From Industrial Design, on 15 March launched an innovative startup in Europe with a focus on lighting design, combining contemporary experimentation and local industrial skills.
The name underscores an approach that looks to the origins of design: From to indicate the idea that is generated in the production process, relying only on Italian firms with a solid tradition of craftsmanship for the implementation of good design.
The results are lamps with a minimal and contemporary image, utilizing LED components of the highest qulaity to create warm light with which users can physically interact.
From Lighting makes its debut with three lamps, launched in Venice in the evocative setting of Casa Flora; the three items will also be presented in Milan in the Asap store on Corso Garibaldi during Design Week:
-Aspect: a lamp-sculpture for the table, based on the form of the tripod reduced to minimum terms;
-Times: a portable table lamp of compact size (30 cm x Ø12), providing eight hours of light with a full charge via USB cable;
-Piazza: a magnetic wall lamp created for free movement in keeping with needs, on the surface of a metal plate.
