The Ridge is a recent renovation at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The restyling has been organized by CallisonRTKL and Paloma Resort Properties, as a contemporary update of the architecture of all the 146 properties of the resort.

The challenges for the architects included the irrational subdivisions of the ground floor spaces, making it difficult to insert the restaurant and the public areas on multiple levels.

To respect the unique character of the spaces, the designers were looking for contemporary facings that would enhance the image without erasing the history of the place. The choice went to the In-Essence collection of the brand Provenza of Emil-Group.

The collection blends into the setting, enhancing the nature of the place with a modern image, picking up the nuances of the colors of the lake.

Precisely for the Ridge project, In-Essence by Provenza has won an honorable mention in the Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition, a prize created to promote the use of Italian ceramic tiles in important architectural projects in North America.

The competition is organized by Confindustria Ceramica and the Italian Trade Agency.
