The design of the new rink has been assigned to the architect Esther Tattoli, with structural calculations by the engineer Michele Masciavè, and construction by the contractor Euro Costruzioni of Naples.
The roof is composed of large segmental arches with a variable section, with an internal span of about 30 meters, made with metal truss structures connected by longitudinal tubes. The use of steel tubing brings to mind the large architectural works of the late 1800s, especially in England in the wake of the Industrial Revolution.
The project is in complete harmony with the landscape of the city. The new skating facility stands out for its rigorous approach to ecosustainability.
