The Elbphilharmonie – the Elbe Philharmonic Concert Hall – in Hamburg, designed by the architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron and recently opened, has met with general enthusiasm for its extraordinary acoustics and the expressive intensity of its forms.
The S 160 collection by Thonet has been chosen to furnish the smaller hall and the multifunction space of the Kaistudio.
The seat blends perfectly with the furnishings of the Elbphilharmonie, not only due to its pleasing forms, but also because of its remarkable flexibility.
Besides being easy to stack in order to save space, it features an ingenious attachment system developed by Thonet that makes it possible to fasten the chairs together in a simple, safe way, without the need for tools.
