Ashton Sixth Form College recently opened a new renovated wing with a monumental reception desk made with the solid surface HI-MACS®.

Designed by the architects of the GA Studio, the counter has a length of 10 meters with a polygonal structure that reflects the architecture of the building and its logo.

Elegant, minimal and contemporary, the counter fits perfectly into the surrounding setting, forming a bridge between the historic part of the building and the more modern addition.

The HI-MACS® transformer Lomax Interiors has generated a linear feature of great impact, starting at a height of 1.2 m on one side and descending to 0.7 m on the other, to facilitate access for people in wheelchairs.

HI-MACS® has a modern image, but it also fits perfectly into historical settings, with stone and granite. It is very strong, with a solidity not just on the surface, but throughout the entire volume of the material.
