Werner Aisslinger has designed an upholstered furniture collection for Cappellini and a new design hotel with 200 rooms for the city of Stockholm. The two projects share a name – Hobo – an informal spirit, and lots of color.

The upholstered furniture line (designed with Tina Bunyaprasit) includes sofas, chaises longues and benches for two or three persons; in the Hobo Contract version the depth of the seat is smaller, with different color combinations and backs that can also be positioned to form dividers.

In the lounge-restaurant on the ground floor and the bar on the first, the sofas custom-made by Cappellini take on a hippie image thanks to folk drawings that contribute to the casual, trendy atmosphere.

Hobo Hotel, the first project by Werner Aisslinger in Sweden, offers a “holistic experience for the urban traveler.” Starting with the lobby, an open space containing art installations, a shop and a flower corner. K.C.
