Daikin: climate for life and successful design

Innovation, technology and design: Daikin is one of the companies that most effectively combines efficiency and functional quality with the goal of getting beyond comfort, creating “The Climate for Life” in every space.

The firm’s constant focus on design has led to five iF Design Awards and Red Dot Design Awards this year, for the following products: Altherma 3 (floor version), Altherma 3 (wall version), D2C, BRC1H, Stylish.

The first four winners are designed by Alexander Schlag, an international designer and CEO of the agency Yellow Design. The collaboration between Daikin and Schlag began with Daikin Emura in 2012 and has permitted Daikin to create products with a unique, recognizable profile on an international level.

Stylish, on the other hand, was designed in Japan and comes in three colors: white, silver and the new blackwood, with a texture that stands alone on the market, combining shiny and matte surfaces for a wood-like effect. The new item has a depth of just 18.9 cm, a true record if we consider the technology it contains.

The volume, proportions and colors of Stylish lend themselves to a new creative interpretation. This is why Daikin has asked Fabrica to sum up this creative project, under the guidance of Sam Baron, in a set of images. The result is A Box in Box, a series of images for a vivid representation of Stylish.

A Box in Box has become a communication campaign lasting one year, in a multichannel approach that brings visibility in traditional media, the web and the social networks.
