Condé Nast Traveler has selected theFendi Private Suites boutique hotel, located in Palazzo Fendi in Rome, for the Condé Nast Traveler Hot List Award 2016.
The fashion house’s first hotel is located on the third floor of the historic Palazzo Fendi, where it reveals its nature as an intimate residence furnished with care and extreme attention to detail. The architect Marco Costanzi has designed seven impeccable suites, in keeping with the Fendi character.
The lounge area is like a cozy living room of a private apartment, furnished with a fine selection of vintage and contemporary design objects made by a number of internationally renowned artists, including the Campana brothers, Fritz Hansen and Lindsay Adelman.
The suites vary in size, and are equipped with custom furnishings by Fendi Casa, including beds, sofas and tables; in addition, important design pieces of various origin, glass vases, artworks are joined by Jan Kath rugs, on natural oak floors. Each room is also enhanced by a mirror by Gio Ponti.
