Palazzo Grillo, a historic residence in the historical center of Genoa, is a unique 4-star hotel inserted in a patrician palace.
Inside the building from the 1500s the charm of history meets the advantages of the most sophisticated technology.
The facility is equipped with the Well-Contact Plus hotel management system by Vimar, which ensures central control of all the spaces.
It is possible to check in and check out from the rooms or in the communal areas, to program guest key cards, to view the status of the room, and to receive technical and emergency alerts: all from the computer at the reception, which becomes a true control room.
The collective spaces and the private rooms feature warm colors and soft lines. Power access and lighting control rely on sockets and switches from the Arké series, which blends perfectly with the interior design and the furnishings with their essential but comfortable lines, selected to respond to the needs of travelers who experience the hotel as an extension of their own domestic spaces and work environments.
Amidst vaulted ceilings, frescoes, lounges, slate portals and earthenware floors from the 1500s, Arké provides impeccable energy management thanks to ergonomic controls discreetly placed in strategic positions, with silent operation.
The building has been renovated for use as a hotel by Arte, a company of the Liguria Region, after which its operation was assigned in a public offering for private management.
The renovation project has been made possible thanks to the painstaking efforts of the studio Pinna Viardo Architetti, which besides granting new life to the interiors, has also restored the cycles of paintings and architectural ornaments by the famous painter GioBattista Castello, known as Il Bergamasco.
