New light for the masterpieces of Tintoretto

iGuzzini continues its efforts to protect and enhance cultural heritage with a technical lighting project that brings out the experiential impact of a visit to the Sala Capitolare of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco in Venice.

For the 500th anniversary of the birth of Tintoretto, Scuola Grande di San Rocco and iGuzzini have unveiled, in Venice, the new lighting of the Sala Capitolare. The project based on the intelligent solutions developed by iGuzzini, the technical sponsor, has been conducted by the architect and lighting designer Alberto Pasetti Bombardella – an expert in the lighting of works of art.

The Sala Capitolare contains 33 paintings by Tintoretto: an program of imagery that develops on the ceiling, showing scenes from the Old Testament, and on the walls, with episodes from the New Testament.

The new lighting brings out the unique chromatic and figurative effects of the works, improving viewing through innovative forms of interpretation (in different lighting scenarios).
