ItalianCreationGroup – (ICG), the industrial holding company operating in the sectors of home design and personal lifestyle, specializing in the international development of renowned Italian brands – has recently reached an agreement for the acquisition of FontanaArte, the historic Italian company founded in Milan in 1932 thanks to an idea of Gio Ponti and Luigi Fontana.
Giovanni Perissinotto, President of ItalianCreationGroup, and Stefano Core, its CEO, will take over the management of FontanaArte, bringing managerial experience and know-how gained over the years and consolidated in their recent entrepreneurial activities.
The goal shared by the partners of ItalianCreationGroup is to reinforce the growth of FontanaArte, emphasizing its leading role in the world of Italian and international design, and the legacy of technical and creative excellence and human resources of the company.
FontanaArte has always stood out in the design lighting sector – also joined by a collection of furnishings and objects – for refined aesthetic and functional research, including the contributions of great masters of design like Gio Ponti, one of the founders and the first art director, Gae Aulenti, Max Ingrand, Livio & Piero Castiglioni, Vico Magistretti, Shigeru Ban, Renzo Piano, just to name a few.
