Delivery has been made at the Fincantieri shipyard in Sestri Ponente of the Seven Seas Explorer, the new ultra-luxury ship of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, a brand of the group Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
With gross tonnage of about 55,200, Seven Seas Explorer is the fleet’s flagship. It has a length of 223 meters and can welcome 750 passengers with 375 large suites.
The new unit has been built using the most advanced environmental protection technologies. The interiors are particularly refined, with a total focus on passenger comfort.
Fincantieri has decided to install the devices and plates of the Eikon and Plana systems by Vimar, confirming the choice of the Marostica-based company as the ideal partner to bring the inimitable style of Made in Italy on board, also in the area of energy management.
Eikon, with its elegant symmetrical lines, enhances the spaces of the sumptuous Owner Suite, which with its 260 m2 is the most costly and impressive seagoing cabin of all time, while Plana is deployed in a double version: Silver for the passenger cabins and communal areas, white for the crew cabins.
The minimal and ergonomic design, the beautiful materials that are easy to clean, and the complete range of functions make this a truly peerless series.
Besides sockets and switches, each room contains Vimar card reader-holders. They are joined by domotic controls for the lamp dimmers.
The Netsafe structured cable system has been installed to guarantee high performance in terms of data reception and transmission.
