To celebrate the birthday of Bar Basso, Gabriel Scott, the Canadian interior design firm, with a showroom in New York in the East Village, which has also lit the windows of Bergdorf Goodman, comes up with a luminous idea: to design an installation of Welles Glass lamps, in the Long Chandelier version, made to measure for the venue.

An almost revolutionary tribute, because this is the first time since the day of the bar’s opening that new furnishings have been inserted in a decor that has never been changed. It is also a special tribute: the Welles Glass lamps, designed as solid transparent volumes in alabaster white blown glass, with finely woven copper wires, are produced and assembled by hand at the workshop in Montreal, as epitomes of craftsmanship and good design.
