Alessandro Zambelli presents Marqué, the new collection of inlaid metal furnishings – a tribute to the Paris of the 1920s and to the undisputed interpreters of Art Deco design – created for the London-based gallery Matter of Stuff.

In Marqué, the series created by the designer for the MOS Designer Residency Competition – an initiative organized by Matter of Staff at the village of Montalcino, with the participation of six international design studios – the materials utilized – iron, copper and brass – have been reinterpreted in terms of cabinet making through the use of inlay as a new feature of character and value.

A mixture of stylistic elements encounters the pursuit of new languages, poised between craftsmanship and contemporary design.
