Amidst the courtyards of a building from old Milan, a center of excellence: from the cooking school to the vertical farm

Official opening of the Milano Food District: a cooking school, Food Genius Academy (the starting point), an educational restaurant Al Cortile, the Chef Around the World booking agency, the pop-up & start-up restaurant Le Cave, and above all – thanks to the partnership with Agricola Moderna – a start-up of young agronomy engineers, the first and only Vertical Farm, connected to the kitchen of the school and restaurant, combining the innovation of modern sustainable technology with research on the typical quality of the Italian agricultural tradition.

At Via Col di Lana 8, amidst the courtyards of a building from old Milan, three young entrepreneurs – Desireè Nardone, Paolo Colapietro and Alberto Capanna – have created a center of culinary excellence, a lively, dynamic place where ideas and people can meet, learn and grow, developing innovative projects thanks to the right mixture of flair and expertise.

Since 2013 the ideas have grown, multiplied and developed in time: from a cooking school to a variegated food district.

 

The chefs Andrea Berton, Marco Ambrosino, Misha Sukay, Galileo Reposo, the journalists Gabriele Zanatta and Carlo Spinelli are all involved in the progress of Milano Food District.
