Bosch is a frontrunner in the process of digital transformation impacting every aspect of everyday life, with a consolidated position as a leader in the IoT sector. Relying on its own IoT cloud, Bosch has already completed over 270 projects in fields like mobility, home automation, smart cities and agriculture.

Entering a street in the wrong direction can be fatal. In such cases, timing is everything: alerting motorists of imminent danger can contribute to prevent or at least reduce the consequences of impact.

Nevertheless, often the warning comes too late, and one third of the accidents of this type happen after the driver has already proceeded for an average of 500 meters. For this reason, Bosch has developed the wrong-way driver warning, which in case of danger sends a signal to the motorist who is driving the wrong way, and to the other connected vehicles in the vicinity, in just 10 seconds.

The service is already operational in Germany: the system has been inserted in the Antenne Bayern app.

Bosch is working on creating a similar partnership in Italy, to provide the wrong-way driver warning free of charge to app developers.
