SBE, a group of reference in the field of international hospitality, opens its first hotel in the Middle East – the Mondrian Doha, in Qatar – this spring, with a soft opening that continues until the end of September 2017, the moment of the complete launch.

This sumptuous hotel with 270 rooms has been designed in collaboration with Marcel Wanders, together with South West Architecture, the consulting company that has coordinated the overall design of the hotel.

Guests can choose from five types of rooms: penthouse, apartment, suite with one or two bedrooms, standard. Each room will feature Swarovski crystal chandeliers and elegant furnishings that echo the colors of the desert.

The hotel combines the creativity of Marcel Wanders with local geometric patterns, refined Arabic inscriptions and references to historic souqs. Giant columns adorned with gold eggs, a blossoming “tree of life,” a video installation on the flight of a falcon, a giant hookah, carpeting with geometric motifs, decorative glazings, ceramics, mosaics are the main decor features.

The outer structure of the Mondrian is based on the form of a falcon, symbol of Qatar, and many references are found inside as well: paintings, falcon heads, related decorations.

Mondrian Doha is a true emporium of cuisine: 8 restaurants and bars, with one floor entirely set aside for entertainment, with a nightclub, a roof pool and a skybar, as well as an exclusive spa and a ballroom.
