For the 103rd anniversary of the birth of Hans J. Wegner, Carl Hansen & Son presents a new elm version of the Wishbone Chair, the iconic creation of the Danish designer.
Available as a limited edition engraved with the designer’s signature and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, this new version can be ordered from Carl Hansen & Son dealers only on the day of 27 April 2017.
Since its debut in 1950, the Wishbone Chair has been made in different types of wood, with different finishes and colors, but never in elm. This type of wood is not widespread in Denmark and in Europe in general. For the special edition Carl Hansen & Son has chosen elm from North American forests, in a variety with vivid grain and an intense color.
