Poltrona Frau has been selected to furnish a new sailing yacht by the Finnish shipyard Nautor’s Swan, the ClubSwan 50 designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian, a new-generation concept that combines comfort and sportiness, lightness and quality of materials, elegance and practicality, crafts and technology.
The interiors have been designed to minimize and optimize weight without sacrificing functional quality and looks. The furnishings can be removed and folded very quickly to shift from cruise mode to regatta mode, and to make space for the sails and additional crew cabins.
The sober natural colors for all the furnishings come in four different combinations, selected by the client. Ecru canvas and Frau® cowhide. Warm white Alcantara® for the ceilings. Bulkheads and walls in white painted wood, with practical large canvas pockets finished with Frau® cowhide.
The owner’s cabin has refined leather details. The linear headboard is in carbon covered with Frau® leather.
The apparel trunks in the stern cabins are in canvas and leather, and can be easily folded away for regattas.
