The Renault Design Hub of Guyancourt was opened in 1996, and is now the largest facility of its kind in France. The R*Generation project by the studio ChartierDalix brings a new configuration to all the workspaces of this design center.
Based on the idea that a workplace should go beyond a simple space for work activities, the designers have attempted to reinforce social contact, exchanges and creativity.
The main architectural characteristics of the industrial structure have been conserved. Particular care has also gone into the conservation of the previous functional parts, like the ground floor laboratories and the mezzanine for the passage of vehicles.
