Quick turnkey execution, professionalism and the possibility of avoiding service interruptions: these were the needs of the client for the addition to a hotel near the airport of Verona, the DB Hotel Verona Airport & Congress.

The general contractor of the Rubner group was commissioned to expand the volume of the 4-star hotel, on 31 July 2015: the project involves three upper levels for 40 new rooms, for a total volume of 3500 m3.

In just 21 days from the order, the wooden structure was already complete, while the closure of the worksite is slated for January 2016.

Thanks to the high level of prefabrication guaranteed by Rubner Objektbau, the wooden addition guarantees a much shorter schedule than traditional construction intervention.

Building in wood is the best system for volumetric additions and added upper levels. The advantages include the lightness of the material, reducing the load on the structure by 40% with respect to traditional systems, for greater stability and very good anti-seismic performance.

Architecture in wood is also very compatible with other construction materials, making it particularly suitable for perfect integration with outer finishes and the building below, for a harmonious, uniform final result.
