A citadel of sports at the gates of Milan
WiP Architecture Technical Engineering presents SportLifeCity, a citadel of sports with an area of 300,000 square meters in the San Francesco neighborhood at San Donato Milanese (Milan), a center ready to host major events, and to become a reference point for sports and culture on a local and national level.
The project commissioned by SportLifeCity Srl and designed by WiP together with the studio FORM_A and a pool of professionals has the objective of combining sports activities, events and entertainment with moments of socializing, work and leisure.
The functional program includes an arena with 20 to 25 thousand seats, for various sports and entertainment events; a shopping center of 5000 square meters, and an office complex with an area of 3400, as well as a Sport Hall with 1500 seats and 8 multifunctional playing fields for indoor and outdoor activities; 9200 sqm of temporary residences; fitness, gym and pool areas for a total of 3300 sqm; a sports medicine center of 7000 sqm; a scientific-sports high school based on the campus model, for 400 students; and an indoor Athletic Center measuring 3800 sqm.
