The international studio of design and innovation Carlo Ratti Associati has created a garden where all four seasons coexist throughout the year.

With a concept by Barbara Römer, founder of Studio Römer, the project relies on a new high-precision climate control system that uses solar energy to achieve zero energy impact.

Hundreds of plant species live in the Giardino delle Quattro Stagioni, under a transparent reactive membrane made with the innovative material EFTE.

The Garden of the Four Seasons has been developed for Citylife, a new district in northwestern Milan, featuring buildings designed by Zaha Hadid, Daniel Libeskind and Arata Isozaki.
