Biblioteca delle Oblate is a cultural and multimedia center opened on 25 May 2007 in the center of Florence, near Piazza Duomo, following a major renovation project that began in 2002.

The facility is located in the evocative former 14th-century convent of the Oblates, the congregation from which it takes its name, which was composed of devout women who helped the patients of the nearby hospital of Santa Maria Nuova.

The complex is organized around two main open spaces, the 14th-century courtyard (featuring a cloister with three orders of loggias) and the garden from the mid-1400s.

Today the library has an overall area of 10,000 m2, of which 7500 are indoors, on three levels. For this project of great historical and cultural importance, the aesthetic, functional and performance qualities of the series in porcelain stoneware Made in Italy for floors of Ceramiche Caesar have the ideal characteristics for the flooring of the multipurpose room and the entrance.

The choice has gone to the Verse series, one of the latest offerings in porcelain stoneware by the ceramics company based in Fiorano Modenese, providing all the contemporary impact of blend design for residential and commercial spaces.

Applied in the Cloud tone, in the sizes 30×120, 25×75 and 37.5×75 cm, Verse stands out for its materic appearance that draws its inspiration from nature and interprets different aspects, creating a new contemporary pattern through the reciprocal balance of graphic elements. The color is the element of synthesis of the various textures, while the finely worked natural surface combines elegant looks with soft tactile sensations.

Verse, with its mixture of materic elements and contemporary interpretations, perfectly represents the style and atmosphere of Biblioteca delle Oblate, where ancient roots combine with a new multimedia spirit, creating a space of great socio-cultural interest.
