From an experimental vacation home project in Spain, by way of a 5-star luxury hotel in Brittany, all the way to a splendid villa on the Island of Föhr in the North Sea, Thonet projects are selected to furnish innovative and contemporary projects, conceived to offer guests unusual experiences.

The Solo Houses are vacation homes immersed in the wild nature of Catalonia, designed by the Belgian architects Kersten Geers and David Van Severen of the studio Office KGDVS. The building of 550 square meters stands out for its original circular plan that encloses a central core composed of an internal courtyard with a swimming pool, surrounded by glass facades. The project makes use of the 107 chair by Robert Stadler and the classic 214 and 209 models.

At Dinard, the historic seaside resort in Brittany, a villa in Victorian style built in 1865 has been renovated after an intensive program of restructuring. The Hotel Castelbrac has been decorated in an exclusive, contemporary style. The 404, 233 and S64 models by Thonet have been chosen for the reception areas, the restaurant, the rooms and the conference facilities.

Villa Steuermann has been renovated by the studio Grotheer Architektur, conserving the characteristic reed roofing typical of local dwellings from the start of the 1800s. Pale colors and minimalist style can be seen in the apartments, featuring classics in steel tubing and the S 1070 table with a top in solid wood by Glen Oliver Löw.

The Marea Alta restaurant run by the award-winning chef Enrique Valentí is on the 23rd and 24th floors of the Colón tower in Barcelona. Forcefully suggesting the world of yachting in the style of its spaces, the venue features wooden boards, porthole-shaped mirrors and a color scheme of white and marine blue. The project includes models from the Thonet All Seasons collection.

The Turi wine bar, based on Italian venues of the same type, was opened in London in 1985 by the sommelier Giuseppe Turi. The architects of Draisci Studio have created a warm, intimate atmosphere, playing with colors that suggest the sunny landscapes of Southern Italy. About 50 Thonet chairs from the 404 and 404 F series in stained walnut, some with padding and covered in cognac or bordeaux leather, are harmoniously inserted in the decor of the restaurant and the private dining area in the basement.
