To promote cultural exchanges between Europe, particularly the Netherlands, and Japan. This is the purpose of Arita House, a project sponsored by the Japanese prefecture of Saga, designed by the studio Scholten & Baijings and contained in several historic buildings near the famous Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.

For the restrooms of the over 645 square meters set aside for the display of Arita porcelain, a shop and spaces for conferences and meetings, the designers have selected Agape. For the main bathroom, they have specified the Vieques bathtub, the Pear bath fixtures, and the Evo-E1 counter-washstand system, complete with a tray for objects and the Surf accessories, Fez faucets and Insegna mirror. The other restrooms feature the Handwash washstand and Bucatini accessories.

The designers Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings are also the creative directors of the Arita project.
