In Paris, the awards were announced in the 7th edition of Trophée Archizinc, the biennial competition organized by VMZINC, a brand of the Umicore group, for 12 projects and 12 architecture firms from around the world.
The competition confirms its capacity to bring together different cultures, typologies and architectural styles around a noble, natural and recyclable material like zinc. A material that makes it possible to express the creativity of designers through various types of applications and surface appearances, in new constructions or renovations.
The winning projects stand out for architectural style, innovation in the use of zinc, functional quality and an ecosustainable approach.
All the projects were evaluated by a jury of nine international professionals in the world of architecture and construction, chaired by Nicola Leonardi to assign prizes in four categories, as well as three Special Awards.
For the category of Single-family houses the prize went to Casa Golf in Hondarribia (Spain) by Rehabite.
