The remarkable functional characteristics and stability of Pratic pergolas – the Italian brand of reference for outdoor living – have made it possible to set up an exclusive ‘life on the rooftops’ in the center of Milan.
The project – based on the collaboration between Licia Gaia Sortino and Trame Verdi of Manuele Protti – involves the organization of the terraces belonging to an attic on the 9th floor, in the historic Brera district of Milan.
The large outdoor space has been designed with the objective of creating different spaces for living throughout the year. For the outdoor spaces, great care has gone into the enhancement of views: focal points on the monuments of the city and the new Porta Nuova/Porta Garibaldi area, while conserving a perfect state of privacy.
The result is a true place for living, where the Opera bioclimate pergola finds a natural role at the center, with an area of 24 square meters (6×4).
The pergola provides a lounge area from which to admire the spectacular 360-degree view of the Milan skyline.
Inside, a living area complete with sofas, consoles, a work table and a disappearing turret for data and electrical connections.
Circulation of air and natural lighting are made possible thanks to the sunscreen blades of Opera, that can turn by 140 degrees, guaranteeing maximum climate comfort.
For total privacy, Opera comes with the vertical Zip Raso blinds, in filtering fabric screen.
Almost total protection in any weather conditions is ensured by special wind and rain sensors that automatically close the blades.
