Wood, glass and pure lines for a residence immersed in the natural setting

Set into an extraordinary natural context, Valley Villa, a few kilometers from Vilnius, in Lithuania, has been designed by the studio Arches to blend perfectly into the surroundings, in a game of indoor-outdoor links based on lines and materials.

The house, with its external cladding in Kebony wood and irregular pitched roofing, exists in absolute harmony with the valley where it stands, and with the surrounding green pine trees.

The ground level, in black schistose stone, practically vanishes in the natural slope.

The only entirely visible level is the first, whose forms reinterpret those of traditional Lithuanian houses. The use of materials like wood and glass makes the spaces very luminous, while reinforcing the bond with the outside world. The residence opens to the valley with its large windows and solid volumes, echoing its natural shape.

The glazings at ground level are partially hidden by vertical wooden slats to protect against sunlight while becoming part of the interior furnishings.

The architectural concept, with its pure forms, is perfectly matched by the Innovo faucet series designed by Natalino Malasorti for CEA, chosen to enhance the bathroom.

In AISI 316 stainless steel, Innovo stands out for the tube with a diameter of 3 cm that runs from the spigot to the mixer. In the washstand version and the tub column the series features a particularly ergonomic lever.
