An architect, designer, filmmaker, teacher and musician, Ugo La Pietra has a long relationship with the Morelato company and above all with Fondazione Aldo Morelato, acting as the artistic director.

A versatile artist who has always stood out for his ability to buck the current, never abandoning a focus on craftsmanship.

For Morelato, Ugo La Pietra has designed several furnishing objects: the Aurelia armchair, the Giano cabinet and the Ali table, which entered the collection this year.

Aurelia is a comfortable, elegant seat with clean lines. The structure is made of cherry wood, while the armrests feature fine veneer.

The Giano cabinet is a furnishing solution with a geometric structure. Made of zebrawood, whose natural grain adds a distinctive touch, it has special workmanship for the pilaster surfaces that make the piece unique. The lacquered interior contains 3 adjustable shelves and a mirror, for easy customization.

The latest piece to enter the Morelato catalogue is Ali, a coffee table made in cherry and equipped with lateral wings to easily transform from a length of 40 cm to 71 cm. It is part of the collection I più Piccoli whose pieces are on view at the MAAM, the Museum of Applied Arts in Furniture.

The solutions created by Ugo La Pietra for Morelato are products of the highest quality that reflect the unique and versatile spirit of their designer, and fit perfectly into the fascinating legacy of the history of Italian design.
