In line with the identity of YOOX and her own personal vision, the goal of Beatrice Trussardi is to make contemporary art and design more accessible for a wider audience.
Concentrating on the most innovative and experimental aspects of art and design, Beatrice has organized the section as a virtual gallery that stimulates curiosity and fosters greater understanding.
For the new Design+Art area Trussardi has selected an assortment of unique works and limited editions, as well as iconic design objects.
Where the editorial content is concerned, she has worked on the presentation of each artist, designer and product through individual stories.
Among the first works, there will be a special edition by Lorenzo Vitturi; The Skateroom, limited editions of skateboards by contemporary artists like Paul McCarthy; and a selection of works by international artists like Gelitin; and pieces from the gallery of Massimo De Carlo, the first contemporary art gallery on an international level hosted in this section with a temporary store.
For design, there will be a special Flos reissue of the famous Ventosa lamp designed by Achille Castiglioni, the Change the Record speaker by the design studio of Paul Cocksedge, available as exclusives at YOOX in the coming weeks.
An exclusive edition of knitted football shoes has been designed for YOOX by the artist Maurizio Cattelan, as part of his Museum League collection.
